First we headed up to This is the Place State Park for the March of Dimes March for Babies. It was really fun this year. We enjoyed free-b's and breakfast while we listened to a band, had extra visiting time because I got us up there an hour early :) (sorry again), then got to start the walk. The route was pretty easy and they even had free creamies waiting for you at the top of the hill! We stayed around the park for a little while after the walk and enjoyed the day, bought some old fashioned candy and watched a little bit of the entertainment.
It was great to have Taya surrounded by family members as we walked for this cause that played such a big role in having the technology to keep her here with us the first few months of her little life. Thank You to everyone who participated, either by walking with us or by donating money to our walk!! It was a great day and we can't wait for next year!
We spent the rest of the day outside in the yard helping with the garden and pulling weeds and such in the flower beds. Here is a picture of the patio and the garden at it's current stage. I wish I had taken a before picture of the backyard. Oh well... I can just say it looks much better. Next on the "to do list" for the backyard is to stain those ugly stairs.
